Getting Started With the All-On-4 Process
Tooth loss is difficult, and if you’ve experienced the loss of multiple teeth, you may be understandably hesitant to go through numerous single-implant sessions in order to get your smile back. Rather than implanting each tooth individually, our specialists anchor multiple teeth using four titanium posts attached to the strongest part of your jawbone.
Consultation – During your free consultation, we will make sure that you understand the process and we’ll answer any questions that you have. Our staff will carefully evaluate your needs to determine if All-on-4 is the right fit for you. Before we can begin, we will take x-rays and impressions of your teeth.
Oral Surgery – During your surgery, we will make sure that you stay as comfortable as possible using our sedation dentistry. First, two titanium screws are inserted towards the front of the jaw at an angle, where the bone is the least likely to atrophy. Next, the two additional screws are secured into place.
Aftercare – After the surgery, you will go home with a fixed provisional bridge that you will use initially. During this time, you’ll need to eat soft foods. We will schedule a follow-up appointment to check your progress, and once your implants have healed, you can do everything that you used to and eat all of your favorite foods!
